What the Customer Wanted:
Over the years, different divisions within this Illinois-based global healthcare provider had implemented different learning management systems to deliver skill-based and industry-required compliance training. By the time a new Director of e-Learning joined the organization, it was clear major surgery was required to bring the systems to a modern level of standardization, cross-communication and accountability.
Because of its integration expertise, Trifus was chosen to help consolidate all the legacy systems and courseware, reduce costs and improve training and organizational efficiency.
What Trifus Did:
Trifus worked with the customer to understand the various divisions' unique LMS requirements and create a global baseline of required functionality. Trifus then mapped and migrated legacy data from each source into one central database.
Next Trifus designed, developed, implemented, and hosted a LMS used by 55,000 users worldwide. Trifus also consolidated the customer's online training materials, making available to the entire organization what had previously been available only to the division that had purchased it.
With the new system in place, the customer looked to add additional critical e-Learning components. Trifus helped them select authoring tools and assessment software, and coordinated pilots of referenceware, performance support systems, and other cutting-edge e-Learning components.
Last but far from least, Trifus provided a single point of contact for 24x7x365 technical support of the entire enterprise e-Learning system.
The Results Achieved:
By following the Trifus methodology and implementation plan, a hosted pilot solution was delivered to the customer in less than 45 days. A phased rollout continued over eight months to include all 55,000 employees in over 50 countries. This centralized learning management system replaced the multiple incompatible systems and now launches and tracks all of the customer's training material, including all legacy courseware.
In addition, following the implementation, the customer urgently needed to deliver training to thousands of learners in a compressed time period to meet regulatory compliance demands. The customer again looked to Trifus for a solution. Working together the organization was able to develop and deploy the required online training, and track all learner progress with the Trifus hosted LMS. Within 30 days, thousands of learners successfully completed their training requirements.
